Steps to take when things go terribly wrong with your health care provider (doctor/nurse) or hospital-clinic.
Alway try to stay calm.Yelling or shouting will only draw negative attention. If the situation is a dire emergency -- then scream as loud and long as you can. We recommend everyone carry a whistle and if you are in an emergency situation, blow into the whistle three times - wait a minute - and blow into it three times again. This is the international distress signal.
When assistance arrives, explain to them as calmly as possible, and with clear and concise words exactly what the problem is. You do not need to go into "who, what, where, when and why" of the situation unless asked. In an emergency, time is of the essence and the emergency team needs to know the most pertinent information to begin a plan and treatment for the patient.
Stay out of the way of emergency personnel. You may offer your assistance, and if it is needed they will let you know how you can help.
